Privacy Policy
SPEND STACK is portfolio information and decision-support software operated by Proper Debris LLC. This policy explains the product's current local-first data practices and how we handle information you send us for support or privacy requests.
Scope
This policy applies to the public SPEND STACK product and to communications with Proper Debris LLC about SPEND STACK support, privacy, or security. It does not describe unrelated Proper Debris projects or capabilities that are not part of the public product.
Local-first portfolio data
The macOS app is the local authority for your portfolio and reconciliation state. The following information stays in the app's local storage unless you deliberately share it outside the app:
- the authoritative local portfolio record;
- detailed holdings, constituent symbols, quantities, and supplied cost basis;
- portfolio imports and local reconciliation state;
- transactions, orders, or fills included in information you import;
- local market observations and derived portfolio valuation or gain/loss;
- user-owned Opportunity rules imported into the macOS app; and
- local Shield and Opportunity results.
Read-only mobile presentation
The public iPhone and iPad experience is designed to show a sanitized, aggregate-only, read-only portfolio snapshot. It does not receive constituent holdings or symbols, quantities, cost basis, transactions, orders, fills, per-position allocation, the authoritative local ledger, or local Opportunity-rules configuration.
Aggregate information may include estimated portfolio value and daily movement, review-candidate count, Shield risk context, approved market context, decision history, source timestamps, provenance, valuation status, freshness, and synchronization state. Estimated valuation and freshness are presented separately so delayed, stale, offline, or unavailable information is not represented as current.
Information not automatically transmitted
Using the current local macOS product does not automatically send your detailed portfolio data to Proper Debris LLC. The product does not have brokerage-write authority and does not automatically place or execute trades.
Future optional online services, identity services, or commercial market-data integrations will be described here before their production use. Planned architecture is not treated as current data practice.
Support, privacy, and security communications
If you email Proper Debris LLC, we receive the information you choose to include, such as your email address, message, and attachments. We may retain that information as reasonably necessary to answer your request, maintain the support record, protect the service, and meet applicable legal obligations.
Please do not send brokerage passwords, authentication secrets, API keys, one-time codes, private keys, or other sensitive credentials. We do not need those items to provide support.
Security
We use safeguards appropriate to the current product and its local-first design. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. To report a suspected security issue, email security@properdebris.com. Please avoid including active credentials or unnecessary personal information.
Your privacy questions
For questions about this policy or information you previously sent to Proper Debris LLC, email privacy@properdebris.com. We may need enough information to understand and verify a request, but we will not ask for brokerage passwords, one-time codes, or similar authentication secrets.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as SPEND STACK changes or as legal and operational requirements evolve. The current version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
